7 TikTok Video Marketing Ideas

TikTok is an absolute game changer when it comes to video marketing possibilities.

But it can be overwhelming to think that this means you have to come up with even more content to keep your marketing strategy in tip-top condition.

Thankfully, TikTok has developed a culture of its own in terms of video-style and content types. So all we have to do, as brands, is make content…

Yay?

Here are 7 TikTok video marketing ideas for you to try out with your brand!

1. Short Tutorials

TikTok users scroll through content really quickly so any content you make has to be short, sharp and quick.

This means detailed tutorials and lengthy explanations of your product won’t fly. Short tutorials like this one are the way to go. If you have to, split your tutorials into parts and segments so your viewers don’t get bored.

2. Collaborate with TikTok Influencers/Creators

Influencers and creators on this platform each have their own video aesthetic (an editing style or content type unique to them), so reach out to one and produce content with them that aligns with their aesthetic.

Not only will this help you to reach out to a potentially new audience, you’ll also get to create new content types for your brand to use.

3. Lip-sync Videos

Repurposing content is a highlight of TikTok and lip-sync videos are a good example of that. Lip-sync to a trending sound clip (or a funny one) and switch up the context into one that fits your brand.

Scroll through TikTok until you find a soundbite you like, then tap the name of the audio playing at the bottom of the video. You’ll be able to find other videos that use the same soundbite and get inspiration for your own lip-sync video.

4. Duet or Stitch

Like lip-sync videos, duet or stitch videos are unique to TikTok the same way reaction videos are to YouTube.

Take a video from another TikTok creator and create your own video “response” to that or interact with the clip somehow. Make sure you take some time (but not too much!) to scroll through TikTok to find popular video clips that people are interacting with for making videos like these.

5. Fact Videos

Educate your TikTok audience by creating short clips with insightful tidbits of information about your product or brand that they didn’t know about before.

Fact videos shouldn’t populate your feed because they get boring after a while, but they make for excellent content once in a while. Use lesser known facts instead of something everybody knows (unless you’re trying to be funny or ironic).

6. Quick Tips

Some TikTok creators specialise in sharing tips on specific topics so check out how they do this before making your own.

Make sure the tips you share are bite-sized—preferably less than 5 minutes—and remember, you can break down your tips into multiple parts if you have to!

7. TikTok Challenges

Last but not least, if you’re on TikTok, you have to do a TikTok challenge.

Challenges are a staple for TikTok videos. If you’re looking for content ideas for your brand’s TikTok, look no further than the most popular challenge that’s being emulated by everyone on your feed.

TikTok challenges come and go quite quickly so hop onto the bandwagon of the latest trending challenge before it’s over!
